You must be 19 or older to use 16 Mile, place an order, and receive it. Clicking the age button on the website does not replace an ID check at the door.
Who may use the site and order
You must be at least 19 to enter the shop, create an account, place an order, have the products, or receive a delivery. When you confirm your age, you are telling us the truth.
ID at delivery
If you appear to be under 25, the driver will ask for valid government-issued photo ID showing that you are at least 19.
The ID must be:
- Original and valid, not expired
- Issued to the person presenting it
- Readable, with the photograph and date of birth visible
- Consistent with the person receiving the order
A screenshot, photocopy, altered document, or another person’s identification is not accepted.
Who can receive the order
Someone who is 19 or older must receive the order at the delivery address and pass any required ID check. Canada Post may have its own proof-of-age and pickup rules.
Where an order will not be left
- At a door, porch, mailbox, lobby, front desk, or other unattended place
- With a neighbour or passerby who is not at least 19
- With anyone under 19
- Where the driver cannot complete a required ID check
When a driver will refuse delivery
The driver will not give you the order if they cannot confirm your age, the ID appears invalid or altered, you are under 19, or you appear intoxicated. The driver may also leave if the situation is unsafe.
Do not send an ID photo by text
Do not text or email photographs of identification unless a specific lawful process clearly requires it. Normal delivery verification happens in person. We will never ask for an account password or banking login as part of an age check.
Parents, guardians, and shared devices
Adults are responsible for keeping account credentials, devices, and delivered products away from minors. Do not allow a minor to place, track, pay for, accept, or open an order.
If age cannot be verified
The order will not be handed over. Contact us with the order number to discuss the next step. Another delivery attempt is not guaranteed and may involve another delivery fee.
