We use four grades for flower: AA Everyday, AAA Select, AAAA Quad, and AAAAA Reserve. The grades describe how the flower looks, smells, and has been trimmed and cured. They are not official Canadian grades, and they do not tell you how strong a product is or how it will make you feel.
Our flower grades

AA Everyday
Everyday replaces the name “Value.” It is our starting grade and does not mean the cheapest product is always the best choice. Check the weight, price, THC/CBD, aroma, and stock on the product page.
AAA Select
Select replaces the name “Premium.” It means the flower is more consistent in structure, trim, cure, and aroma than our Everyday grade. It does not promise a certain THC level or effect.
AAAA Quad
Quad is used for flower with strong structure, trim, cure, and aroma throughout the lot. A Quad product does not automatically have more THC than an AA or AAA product.
AAAAA Reserve
Reserve is our highest grade and is used sparingly for flower that stands out beyond our usual Quad standard. It is a 16 Mile grade, not a regulated or universal one.
What a flower grade does not tell you
- THC or CBD: check the numbers listed for that product.
- Effects: a grade cannot predict how you will feel.
- Price: check the weight, total price, and price per gram.
- What another shop means: AA, AAA, Quad, and Reserve can mean different things at different shops.

Common flower grade questions
Is AAA always stronger than AA?
No. The grade describes flower presentation. Use the product’s THC and CBD figures when comparing labelled potency.
Is AAAA an official Canadian cannabis grade?
No. AA, AAA, AAAA, Quad, and Reserve are informal market terms. The definitions on this page explain how 16 Mile uses them.
Why did 16 Mile replace Value and Premium?
“Everyday” and “Select” are more useful names. “Value” makes the grade sound like it is only about price, while “Premium” does not explain anything.
